Hostels

Megan and I have just arrived at our first hostel and all I can say is...ew. There is one bath room for the entire place and it doesn't have a shower, it has a bath. The floor has puke stains on it and according to the guy who made our bed, we got lucky because we got the last clean bed sheet. And we are here for 5 NIGHTS.

    Sorry the hostel is such a bust. I would suggest you eat the cost and find someplace in the city. It is so hard to predict what kind of hostel you are going to get. Are you using Hostels International? http://www.hihostels.com/
    I'm worried that you are getting 'fake' hostels. A good hostel should provide breafast and at least basic amenities. They tend to get worse though, the further south you go.
